Hahah.  We love stories from tour. And seeing how there aren’t too many of Houston’s Beautifulest headed out for rubber on road adventures in ’08, we were glad to see that the fine men of Listen Listen bucked the trend and booked themselves a tour of this here beloved Lone Star State (not a bad idea considering the land of the Yellow Rose is about the size of France, and offers up a good number of places to play). They sent in this video, titled “Llano Estacado Whirlwind,” to summarize their experiences. COMMENCE METEOROLOGY

So the weather may be occasionally out to get them, but there were some kind words, on the other hand, from the folks at We Shot JR, a mighty fine place to go for insight about like minded music in Dallas and Denton. Think of them as our hot sister that you’ve never met – the one that went to TSU instead of sticking around and being a Coug. In other Listen Listen news, they’ve finished the recording of their follow up to last-year’s must own EP, which we surmise to be 1) Titled Hymns from Rhodesia 2) A captivating leap into new sounds with a heavy tether to where they’ve been, based on a few listens listens of “Safe Home at Port.” Check it out on their MySpace page. They expect this next batch of their Wintery take on Americana to be in the can in the next month, with a release hopefully later this year. Stoked.
